These folding wood tongs are an excellent serving and cooking tool. The concept is very old, but with my own style. They are made with two pieces of wood which have been steam bent and hinged together with a brass pin. The bent wood gives them a natural spring action, but when you fold them over they lay flat, allowing them to be stored easily without getting caught in the drawer. Excellent for serving salad or anything that needs grabbing, especially for the buffet, so you don't need to find a place to set your plate down. These tongs make a great conversation piece for any dinner party.
These folding tongs are made from cherry wood, which is all salvaged scrap from local cabinet and furniture builders, and finished with a food safe oil. They measure approximately 1-1/2" wide x 11-1/2" long.
To keep in good condition, always hand wash, never let soak or put in the dishwasher, and oil with coconut oil, mineral oil or any food safe oil that won't go rancid.
*The piece you order will not be the one pictured, but equally as beautiful and also made of cherry wood.
